Tropical and desert plants from foreign parts, lush temperate foliage and home grown beauties – you might head to Kew and the Princess of Wales Conservatory for their Orchid Festival, which opens today and runs for a glorious steamy month at Kew Gardens – but you might get a taste for all that and more at Petersham Nurseries. Shameless plug I know but I’ve been there for seven days on the trot and I have to show you how beautiful it is! A perfect antidote to the cold, grey, damp, washed out and dreary weather.
