The double mixed/herbaceous borders at RHS Wisley in Surrey. A grand symphony! And there is still more to come, with asters just flushing into life to add more rich blue, vioet and purple to the mix. And in the adjacent Country Garden, just as much going on this early September. If you haven’t been to Wisley recently, there is so much to warrant a trip just now. Go!

WHAT BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS OF ALL THE GRASSES AND FLOWERS; I HAD A GORGEOUS GOOSEBERRY FOOL SEDUM IN NORFOLK AND THOUGHT I’D BROUGHT IT WITH ME TO YORKSHIRE WHEN I MOVED, BUT THERE’S BEEN NO SIGN OF IT! CAN YOU ADVISE WHERE TO FIND ONE MAIL ORDER OR IN NORTH YORKSHIRE SOMEWHERE PLEASE?
This really is a lovely sedum – perhaps at Harlow Carr? Or try Crocus.co.uk for an online supplier. A list of suppliers, retail and mail order – can also be found on the RHS website – http://www.rhs.org.uk – in their plant finder section so you may have some luck here also. Best wishes, Martin (with apologies for the delay in replying having just returned from holiday.
