David Austin Roses at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show

A Gold Medal winning exhibition from David Austin at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, which finished yesterday.

By far the most exuberant staging from any of the rose nurseries, dominating the Rose Marquee.

If only there was a ‘scent’ button on your keyboard..

A comprehensive selection of their English Roses, displayed enclosed within a white picket fence and divided into four beds set around an arbour with table set for a traditional English afternoon tea, complete with vase of roses.

New Introductions 2013/14

The display included The Albrighton Rambler, a pink-paling-to-white pompom repeat flowering rambler and Thomas a Becket, a carmine pink Old Rose hybrid. If The Lady Gardener and Carolyn Knight were also present, I sadly missed them – though I was early on the Tuesday (Member’s Day)  there was already a crush starting around the stand. A deserved Gold for David Austin.
