One cyclamen, several ways
Cyclamen Latino - a beautiful houseplant for a bright cool room. Deadhead regularly, water sparingly, a touch of fertiliser now and then - and on and on they will go - whites, pinks, dark wine, scarlet, frills even and this unique flower, pure white with a clean bright streak. Art, this is!
Trilliums at RHS Harlow Carr
A woodland spot and an impressive stand of trilliums with purple flame-flowers above distinctive leaves. Trillium chloropetalum is one of the more robust trilliums and makes impressive spring clumps as here, at RHS Harlow Carr. Nearby were Trillium flexipes White and Trillium erectum, below
The White Garden, Sissinghurst
Spurred on by the BBC4 series starting tonight - and having read Adam Nicolson's book "Sissinghurst - An Unfinished History" last summer, it seems a good time to look through the photographs taken on a rather damp early August day last year. For a few brief minutes I had the garden all to myself. Heaven.
