An afternoon in town and my first chance to visit the new Petersham Nurseries store in the heart of Covent Garden – lifestyle destination, plant emporium, delicatessen, florist and wine cellar. Completely familiar to someone so familiar with their Richmond home – so elegant and polished and with wood floors in place of the usual hoggin – but essentially Petersham. All, as Mary Poppins would have gladly confirmed, practically perfect in every way. I’ll be back next week to spend some time with the horticultural team there but for first impressions, just like Tigger, I had a more than a little bounce in my step for the whole time there…
