Christmas Bauble ‘Selfie’ (see my trademark hat, silhouetted)
January to December, twelve posts coming your way before New Years Eve, a complete Teddington Gardener review of 2014. Mega-processing power will be required to cope with many mega-galleries containing hundreds upon hundreds of photographs, put together for your delight and delectation!
Watch as winter (such as it was) relaxes its grip, Spring takes hold, burgeons and builds into a brilliant summer and a long, long Indian Summer – before Autumn gradually claims its casualties and winter threatens. Kind of a ‘flick’ book of the seasons…
Kew Gardens and RHS Wisley feature regularly throughout the year, The Savill Garden is seen twice. Great Dixter, Mottisfont Abbey, Waterperry Gardens, Wrest Park, Igtham Mote, Knole, Wakehurst Place, Nymans, Isabella Plantation, Emmetts Garden and Hampton Court are all visited once this year and there be many photographs!
A Spring Show for the RHS in London features in April while The Chelsea Flower Show in May (Chelsea Fringe too) and Hampton Court Flower Show in July are also explored.
The Island of Madeira is featured once again in the upcoming November posting – the Botanic Gardens, Palheiro Gardens and the Monte Palace Tropical Gardens are all extensively covered.
Petersham Nurseries, my home since March 2014, is naturally a regular subject of my photographic scrutiny. It is interesting to watch the Cutting Garden grow up and die down over the past nine months – such a bountiful plot, feeding much of the floral needs of the Nurseries. More plans afoot to expand this area next year. The 10th Birthday Party celebrations in the summer were a delight and I am glad to be able to share a record of this event – and much of more of this enchanted place, month by month by month.
You can of course sort through the Archives subject by subject, month by month, using keywords and dates, tags and categories. And there is much to surf through. 10,786 photographs are already uploaded onto this blog – and there are 867 individual posts so far.
With twelve more already on the way…
January 2014 comes online this evening and entries for successive months follow day-by-day through to a round-up of December on New Year’s Eve.
