The last image is of Salvia argenta – silver-fur and quite gorgeous. The name plates for almost all the salvias in the border are lost amongst the exuberant foliage.

The  Davies Alpine House

DSCF3233Behind this dramatic alpine house are the grass beds, four equal borders around a central bed with a crossing path.
