Reminding me that it is still officially Spring – a golden display of narcissus and below, another softly-shaded tulip. I must ask for the name.

The Regal Pelargoniums have arrived, and zonal, ivy-leaved and scented varieties too –
Roscastle Black – a diminutive dark Viola with rich blackcurrant tones and below, Lilac Time
Interesting – and possibly quite comfortable – garden chairs and below, Canary Bird, always one of the first roses to flower
and finally, the Easter Chicken, possibly…
