A very quick look at Merriments, a garden centre, cafe with adjacent gardens. But not so merry I’m afraid. The garden centre was very uninspiring and the gardens were undergoing some major works, though again I wasn’t thrilled by them. A very good cheese and ham baguette in the cafe, but I shan’t be returning. Free to RHS members Monday to Wednesday but sadly I was there on Thursday and paid full price. One good clump of bright tulips. But moving on, Great Dixter coming up …
