The English Rose, Darcey Bussell, bred by David Austin. The colour is a deep rich crimson which takes on a touch of mauve as the flower matures. This rose with its short, bushy growth, would be good for the front of the border. Introduced in 2006. Photographed this morning on a plant still with a lot of bud ready to flower!
